In Sept. 2004, Prof. Yu Longyu and his disciples coauthored Indian Classic works and Chinese Classics which was published by the Ningxia People’s Press. It received two awards as the Excellent Research Achievement from the 20th Philosophy and General Social Sciences Competition hosted by fifteen Provinces, cities and autonomous regions in North China, in 2005, and the second prize for excellent achievement of the 4th humanities and social sciences forum of Chinese universities, 2006.

 On Jan. 21, 2003, Mr. Shiv Shankar Menon, the Indian Ambassador to China, visited SZU.

 In Mar. 2002, SZU hosted the 9th Indian Literature Seminar.

 On April 25-29, 1996, Shenzhen University (SZU) hosted the 13th International Conference on Ramayana.

 In Dec. 1993, Prof.Yu Longyu and Prof. Zheng Yilin attended the 10th International Conference on Ramayana in India.
