Research Projects

   

  June, 29, 2012, CIS Research Team headed by Prof. Yu Longyu obtained the approval for the Studies on Buddhist Paintings of Tun-huang in India as one of the “ Collective Innovative Projects of Humanities and Social Science Fund of Shenzhen University, 2012”.

    

  2012-2014, Huang Rong, lecturer of CIS, undertakes Tan Yunshan’s Academic Thought and Sino-Indian Cultural Exchanges, the “Special Project for Young Scholars” sponsored by Shenzhen University.

  

  Oct. 2011, launched the translation of Buddhist Paintings of Tun-huang in National Museum, New Dehli, authorized by Prof. Lokesh Chandra and Prof. Nirmala Sharma.

    

  Aug. 15, 2011, signed the sub-project "Foreign Think Tank and the Corpus of the Studies on Overseas Policies towards China: India" of the commission-project of National Social Science Foundation "Dynamic Corpus of Chinese Culture Spreading Overseas".

  

  2010-2012, Dr. Cai Feng undertakes Academic History of the Studies on Gandhara Arts, the “Special Project for Young Scholars” sponsored by Shenzhen University.

    

   Launched the great object of Chinese and Indian Classics Inter-translation.

   

   Drafted the Proposal of Conferences and Activities in Honour of Rabindranath Tagore on his 150th Birth Anniversary. 

    

   Dictionary of Appreciation for Selected Works of Rabindranath Tagore, edited, to be published in 2011.

   

   2008-2013, History of Literary Exchanges betweem China and Indian, the sub-project of the special project of the National Social Science Fundation, History of Literature Exchanges between China and Foreign Countries (06BZW019).

     

   2009-2013,  Academic History of Sino-Indian Literature, the sub-project of the key project of the National Social Science Fundation, Six decades of Studies on Foreign Literature after the Establishment of the People’s Republic of China (09&ZD071).

   

   2010, Collected Works of Rabindranath Tagore, organized the participation of famous scholars in translation and publication.

    

   2010, Engaged in the History of Indian Literature Studies in China, sub-object of Major National Social Fund.

   

   Spread and Influence of Ancient Chinese Literature in India and South-Asia in the 20th Century (under the program of scientific research of Ministry of Education: Spread and Influence of Ancient Chinese Classics in Foreign Lands in the 20th Century). 

   

   2005—2008, Selective Poems of Rabindranath Tagore, Series of Six, editor, solicited by Beijing Foreign Research Press.

  

   2007—2008, Proceedings of the 8th Annual Meeting of Association of Comparative Literature in China& the International Seminar, edited by Yu Longyu, financial assistance for publication by Shenzhen University .

   2003—2004, Indian Scriptures and Chinese Classics: Indian Writers and the Chinese Culture, priority book of National Tenth Five-Year Plan, led by Yu Longyu and joined by Yang Xiaoxia, Liu Zhaohua, Yang Xiuzheng, Zhang Wei, Li Meimin, Feng Fei, Cai Feng, Yin Xinan, etc.

   

   2001—2004, Comparative Studies in Sino-Indian Poetics, Tenth Five-Year Plan of humanities and social sciences program of Ministry of Education, 01JA750.47—99010,led by Yu Longyu and joined by Dr. Liu Peng, Lecturer Tang Liwen.

    

   1998—1999, Comparative Studies in Sino-Indian Literature, scientific research program of Shenzhen University, Monograph, completed with 230 thousand characters.

  

  1998—2000, Research of Tagore and His Works, 96JBY750.47—99001,Ph.D. program of the Ninth Five-Year Plan of humanities & social science research of State Education Council of China, led by Prof. Tang Renhu of Peking University (I wrote 120 thousand characters for the part of Tagore’s poems and  completed it).

  

  1998—1999, Developmental & Comparative History of Chinese and Foreign Literature, priority program of the Ninth Five-Year Plan of the National Social Sciences Program Fund, 96AZW015,led by Prof. Cao Shunqing of Sichuan University (I wrote 65 thousand characters and completed it).
